The Christchurch (Canterbury) Branch of the Vintage Car Club are celebrating their 25th Annual Girder Fork Rally with an overnight run from Christchurch to Akaroa. The run is for pre 1944 machines (which were fitted with girder forks) and the Canterbury boys are seeking both past and new entrants. Saturday evening has been planned with a celebratory dinner at Akaroa. This is the week after the McLeans Island Swap Meet so consecutive weekends doing motorcycling stuff sounds very inviting.
