1960 BSA Dandy Instruction Manual

Interesting that this publication has the stamp of the The Ferndale and District Motorcycle Club on the front cover. Now for the avid Shortland Street soap watchers this has no relation as their Ferndale is a fictional place. This Ferndale is in South Wales and by all indications must have been quite an active club if they had a library of motorcycle manuals.. . . And that is all we know.
As for this manual it was produced by BSA and is in two parts, Part 1 which covers the controls, riding instruction and routine maintenance. Part 2 is for general maintenance, lubrication and adjustments. It also covers both the Lucas and Wico Pacy electrical systems.
The last page has all the technical data that you need to know about Dandys.
And as for the title – How to ride the BSA Dandy 70 – How different were they and are they that special? Read on –
