1948 Harley Davidson Sales Catalogue

Harley Davidson advertised their motorcycles as the Worlds Most Popular Motorcycle and trying to keep ahead of other manufacturers meant that 1948 was going to be quite an important year for some of their models. It was the last year of the springer front suspension that had reigned supreme on the Big Twin for over 20 years and the first year for Harleys new OHV Panhead engine. The next year, 1949, would see the introduction of the new Hydro Glide front suspension. Models included in this catalogue are the 45 Twin, 61 OHV, 74 OHV, 74 SV, the Servicar, Sidecar and Package Truck models.
