1914 The Governor Owners Manual

Quite a rare little 11 page booklet for a motorcycle that is even rarer. Manufactured in Birmingham possibly by R Walker & Son or W A Lloyds it is believed that the motorcycle was built exclusively for New Zealand. Very hard to verify, but having gone through all the early motorcycle books that I have there is no mention of the marque. Searching on Google did however result in there one being in New Zealand. It may have been one of those motorcycles that was built and marketed under many different names.
It was a lightweight machine powered by Villiers 269cc engine and had a 2 speed gearbox with no clutch, chain primary drive to a belt drive secondary.
