1931 The Book of the P & M.

As the cover belies a rather well used manual it is the information that lies within that will be most beneficial to all pre 1931 P&M owners. Models covered include the Model 25 – 247cc 2 stroke using the popular Villiers engine, the Model 50 and 55 498cc OHV, the Model 60 and 65 598cc OHV, and the new Models 90 and 95 490cc Red Wing. As with most of these period manuals the usual is covered – valve clearances, spark plug type, ignition, carburetion and lubrication including the rotary oil pump. In addition it also has sections for both the 3 speed Sturmey Archer gearbox and P&Ms own 4 speed gearbox.
Even if you don’t own a P&H Panther have a look, you might just learn something. Could prove a winner when you are next in a pub quizz and a Panther question comes up. But then again nobody likes a smarty pants eh?
