1922 Royal Ruby Sales Catalogue

Supplied by Turnill, North & Co, Motorcycle Specialists, of Peterborough this catalogue gives an excellent insight into the inner working of the Royal Ruby Factory. Manufacturing was spread over their No 1 and No 2 Works with the first 7 pages outlining the various departments required to produce motorcycles. From frame building, The Capstan Dept, nickle plating, wheel building etc just about everything seemed to be in house. Probably typical of the larger English motorcycle manufacturers of the 1920s.
There are the usual testimonials and accolades from those who had competed successfully on Royal Ruby motorcycles, including Frank Sykes from New Zealand riding a Royal Ruby 3 1/2 hp machine.
Models include the 8hp Twin Combination, the 3hp Single Cylinder 4 Stroke, the 2 3/4 Sports Model Combination, The 3hp Touring Model Combination, the 2 3/4hp Sports Model (very alluring), and the 2 3/3hp Touring Model.
